Mystery Brew

Kegged a batch that I brewed on 12/15. I was short on caramel malt and bittering hops, so I experimented with what was available:

5 lb. Pilsner

2 lb. Victory

.3 lb. Caramel 60

.15 lb. Carapils

.15 lb. Debitter Black

1 lb. Corn sugar

.5 oz Brewers Gold 60

.75 0z Kent Goldings 30

.75 oz Kent Goldings 15

Munton's Gold Ale yeast

Mash @ 152, Batch Sparge

Visited my not so local homebrew shop last week and found that although some hops were in short supply, notably Fuggles, Kent Goldings & Hallertau, prices were the same or had risen only slightly. Purchased Mt. Hood, Williamette & Spalt. Will be visiting another shop tomorrow. This shop has a more extensive inventory, but I expect higher prices.
