Light Struck Batch??

Racked my Blonde Ale  to the secondary (glass carboy) and moved it to my den for 24 hours of conditioning at room temperature before crash cooling.  And...DUH.... I forget to shield the carboy from light.... and left it overnight before catching my mistake.  I don't think the carboy was hit by sunlight or fluorescent lighting, but there were incandescent lights on for part of the time.

I'm hoping for the best and crash cooling it now.  Giving the finings (gelatin) 36 hours and will rack to the keg on Tuesday.  I'll try a taste then and see if I screwed up this batch.  With a simple brew like this, defects will be obvious.

My first brew for the new year will be an amber ale.  I'm going to adjust the mash temperature to make a more malty, less dry brew.

Cheers & Happy New Year.
